italian cassel brown pigment is a mixture of 100% natural calcined iron oxides giving a taupe brown/black to medium mouse grey slightly brown colour depending on the binder and dilution. This pigment is made in Italy and was originally extracted from peat and ferrous lignites. It is perfectly diluted in water. A dosage of 30% of the weight of lime paste will give a taupe colour which is quite trendy at the moment.

Verone greenish shadow pigment is a 100% natural earth containing iron oxides and clays known since antiquity. It is a purified and ground natural soil which has good covering power. It gives a brown / green to gray green color with a transparent binder and a linen color in lime when dosed at approximately 10% by weight of lime paste. It is possible to increase the dosage to have a light minty brown. It is compatible with all binders and all techniques and can be diluted very well in water.

brown van dick pigment from sweden is a mixture of natural iron oxide and calcined sienna resulting in a purplish reddish brown color, wine lees. This pigment is compatible with all binders and all painting and coating techniques. A dosage in the lime paste at 30% of the lime weight will give the strongest color in the whitewash, quite sustained like the photo. The color will be stronger in plaster because less diluted

chestnut pigment

Chestnut pigment is a mineral iron oxide which gives a slightly tan leathery brown colour. This pigment is compatible with all painting techniques. It can be dosed at 20% of the weight of the lime in order to obtain an already strong colour, beyond that it will be useful to add a fixative such as a vinyl binder to better fix the colour. Chestnut pigment can be diluted with water and a little liquid black soap.
