Pigments are particles of fine material which have the function of modifying the colour of paints, coatings, mortars, lime or concrete, in which they are diffused.
There are natural pigments and synthetic pigments. According to each pigment we will have a more or less strong colouring power. The colour of the binder will also have an influence on the final shade. The titanium white pigment has a high tinting strength and is very opaque.

titanium white pigment is a rutile oxide compatible with all binders such as lime, acrylic or vinyl binders, egg, skin glue, oil, gums, to give a luminous white, nevertheless the titanium white pigment cannot be used alone in flour paint, just to lighten another pigment. as flour paint contains iron sulphate and linseed oil which already have a tint, it will never be possible to obtain a clear white.
