Soft green pigment is a mixture of chromium oxides and minerals giving a very slightly bluish green colour with a white binder and a slightly bluish light green colour with a transparent binder that is close to malachite green. This pigment is compatible with all binders and all techniques and can be used outdoors. A dosage of 20% of the weight of lime paste gives a very soft luminous malachite green colour, and it is still possible to increase the percentage slightly. This pigment mixes well with water-based binders, with a little liquid black soap.
