dark natural umber pigment is a mixture of sienna and black iron oxide which results in a greenish black taupe color. This pigment is compatible for all painting techniques and for all binders. A dosage in lime at 35% is the saturation limit. This pigment requires a drop of black soap and alcohol to promote its dispersion.

industrial talcum powder is a very fine filler for paints, whitewashes and lime plasters. it gives them mattness, texture and velvety while strengthening them. the lamella-shaped structure of the talc makes it possible to give the whitewashes more slippery and at the same time as smoothness. It should be dosed at a maximum of 10% of the weight of lime paste, overdosing gives the paints shine.

lime water is a 100% natural varnish resulting from lime quenching which is used to create patinas, consolidate whitewashes, stones, frescoes. The water is used to extinguish quicklime and it is during this extinction, when a strong heat is released, that this water becomes charged with calcium hydroxide to form lime water. Then when it is used, lime water reacts with carbon dioxide in the air to form calcium carbonate (caco3, calcite found at the end of stalactites in caves) which is then freezes on the surface to form a transparent limestone.

titanium white pigment is a rutile oxide compatible with all binders such as lime, acrylic or vinyl binders, egg, skin glue, oil, gums, to give a luminous white, nevertheless the titanium white pigment cannot be used alone in flour paint, just to lighten another pigment. as flour paint contains iron sulphate and linseed oil which already have a tint, it will never be possible to obtain a clear white.
