We also use black soap as an additive in whitewashes and lime coatings. It is used as a wetting agent to help us disperse the pigments in our mixtures and make the coatings more creamy and sticky. A few drops in the pigments with a little warm water and we obtain a paste (the syrup) which we can then add to our mixtures (lime, acrylic art paints, cement etc) to avoid colour fuses during application.

Black soap is also used when finishing tadelakt (Moroccan coating), during the final polishing with a pebble, in order to make it water-repellent.

You can also wash and soak your brushes in this black soap in order to make their silk hairs softer and more supple and to ensure their long life.

This economical and ecological multi-purpose soap is used in the garden in organic farming and in home maintenance as well as for animal care.
