iron oxide red pigment
the iron oxide red pigment is produced from madrasah ores in india. Its colour is reddish brown/burgundy. This pigment is compatible with all binders and techniques. Equivalent to the ormuz ochres used by the earth and colour combination on the cathedral of bayeux. This pigment is dense and settles easily in the jars when mixed with liquids such as whitewash. It will then be necessary to remix well each time it is used so as not to risk differences in colour when brushing.
